Coordinated by EWEA and GWEC, the annual Global Wind Day (June 15) aims to raise awareness with activities around the world about wind energy. In 2012, over 250 events were organized in 40 countries. With windfarms operational in over 70 countries, this year’s Global Wind Day featured a photography competition “Wind in Mind” with 2,300 entries from over 40 countries. These are the winners from Asia, Africa, the Americas, Australia, Oceania, Antarctica, Europe, and the global winner.
